On February 21, in Atyrau, with the support of Novus Bolashak, significant business meetings took place for major Oil & Gas operators and service companies.

The event, organized by the Union of Oil Service Companies "KazService", "TCO" and "NCOC" became a central platform for discussing relevant industry issues.

Opening the meeting, Rashid Zhaksylykov, Chairman of the KazService Presidium, expressed gratitude to Novus Bolashak for their key role in supporting local business and enhancing workforce qualifications. He highlighted the importance of such events for increasing the local content share in Oil & Gas projects. 

TCO General Director  Kevin Lyon, expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to discuss social and industry issues and reported that 11 companies successfully completed the preliminary qualification program and received their first trial orders. The pace of localization of original equipment manufacturers was also presented at the event.

NCOC Managing Director Olivier Lazare, in his turn, appreciated the discussion platform and introduced Giancarlo Ruyu as his successor. He underscored the long-term contribution of the North Caspian project to the development of Kazakhstan’s Oil & Gas industry and announced plans to conduct workshops for suppliers throughout the year.

Giancarlo Ruyu, new NCOC General Director, confirmed his commitment to open dialogues and discussed plans to increase the share of local content. The current projects of the second phase of Kashagan and the involvement of local enterprises were considered.

This event highlighted the importance of open dialogue between Kazakhstani business and international operators, as well as the desire for joint development between companies.
