The primary responsibility for this position is to ensure that the Gas Testing support capabilities is carried out for the FGP Permit to Work (PTW) process and is consistently applied and aligned to the TCO Safety Instructions across the FGP – new facilities (OV (IOCC), 3GI & 3GP). A member of the PTW Team, he/she will have the ability to communicate and integrate effectively with the Construction, Systems Completion and Operational groups for matters relating to Gas Testing through the PTW process.
The Gas Tester will liaise with FGP Construction, System Completions, Production Operations and HES work groups for identifying and communicating issues aligning with SI-105, SI-106 & SI-108 requirements to control work and provide safe work environments for personnel.
Education Technical (preferably with a specialization in oil-and-gas industry).
Work experience Minimum 5 years experience in oil and gas industry.
PC knowledge and skills Advanced computer skills with MS Office Software (e.g. Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Visio, Project).

• Maintaining the integrity of Gas Test equipment
• Ensuring that adequate supplies of calibration Test Gas is available
• Ensuring the calibration of Gas Test equipment is current prior to use
• Knowing the potential hazards that may be encountered during Gas Testing
• Developing a Gas Test plan to be approved by a Person-in-Charge (PIC) prior to Test
• Liaison closely and taking direction from Permit Approver (PA)
