Mechanical Engineer

Duties: • To complete assigned work on time to meet KPO schedules. The work will include investigations, surveys, feasibility studies, calculations, simulations, conceptual design, detailed design, production of drawings, engineering reports and scopes-of-work, cost estimation of time, resources as well as plant and material, material specification and procurement. • To supervise mechanical engineering work assigned to external design institutes and engineering contractors, in order to monitor and maintain the progress and quality of deliverables and associated activities. • To report progress of all assigned work to lead mechanical and piping engineer. • To participate in risk assessment and all the related studies of designs. • To perform detail checking and peer/enter-discipline reviews, as applicable, on in-house as well as outsourced engineering.

Good and proven knowledge of onshore upstream oil and gas facilities. • Knowledge of conceptual studies, FEED study, detail design follow-on engineering and closeout. • Knowledge of RoK and international codes, regulations and standards. Knowledge of the latest developments and current best practice in piping design and materials. • Machinery and plant installation in the oil and gas industry. • Pressure vessel design. • Heat exchange design. • Pump sizing and specification. • Mechanical theory and its practical implementation. • RoK internal codes, regulations and standards relating to mechanical engineering. • The latest developments and current best practice in mechanical engineering. • Excellent communication skills in English
